My little family of 2 + me, had many great adventures this weekend, including a Saturday morning visit to the Horsehoe Craft and Flea Market. We printed all of their promotional flyers and posters and donated stickers, which is how I had found out about it.
Talk about inspiration! This great event had eye candy of the handmade delights around every corner. From vintage furniture, to letter press cards; upcycled Children’s clothes in retro fabrics to handmade purses and soy candles presented in beaker glasses (thinks 7th grade science glass)… I was so inspired.
So inspired in fact, that I spent my Saturday afternoon sketching out my first silk screen print. I am super excited to start laying it out on the computer.
Then, Sunday the hubby bribed me with promises of pancakes, if I joined him at some yard sales. We scored some fabulous vintage drinking glasses, which were definitely printed by hand, as 1 of them has a misprint. The hubby is most excited about his green crystal candy dish, black crystal dish, and white crystal ash tray (think your great grandmother’s house). But what I am over the moon excited about is a fabulous score I made in the form a long, vintage winter coat with shetland wool collar and matching belt. As soon as I drop if off at the dry cleaners, I will most certainly post a photo of it on here for you all to see!
